Marking Stein’s feature directorial debut, Tin & Tina follows Lola and her husband Adolfo, who after a tragic miscarriage, adopt Tin and Tina, a lovely brother and sister with an ultra-Catholic education that makes them interpret Holy Bible verbatim. Upon its premiere in 2023, the film won three Carmen Awards and received a nomination for Best Special Effects at the 2024 Goya Awards. Watched by more than 50 million viewers in its first weeks on Netflix, it spent five weeks in the Global Top 10 Films (Non-English) and hit the Top 10 on the streamer in 78 countries. Milena Smit (Parallel Mothers) and Jaime Lorente (Money Heist) star. His works are defined by an enigmatic visual storytelling and a powerful and very peculiar mise-en-scène with the media defining him as "a cult filmmaker" and as "Hitchcock’s great disciple". He is also the creator of the suspenseful, black-and-white short film trilogy "Light & Darkness", with the last one ‘Bailaora’ premiering at Palm Spring Shortfest and being Nominated for the Best Fiction Short Film at the Goya Awards. Recently, Rubin directed two episodes of the second season of Martin Scorsese’s series "Saints."
