Alex is an award-winning writer of Métis, Caribbean, and European descent with over a decade of experience in film and television. A 2024 Pacific Screenwriters Program fellow and 2023 UCLA TFT graduate, she earned the Hagan Hicks Underrepresented Women’s Voices Scholarship for her sci-fi horror feature Mt. Asha, took the project to Fantasia’s Frontiéres market, premiered her directorial debut I Dare You at the Cannes Film Market, and capped a standout year by writing, directing, and producing four short films while pregnant, with screenings in Vancouver, Ontario, and New Zealand."
