ADRIAN YANG
WRITER/DIRECTOR
Adrian Yang is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker whose work blends emotional intimacy, sharp visual storytelling, and deeply human characters into stories built to connect quickly and linger long after. His recent micro-shorts Passing, Christine, and Good to See You—all under three minutes—have found a massive organic audience, generating more than 17 million views across Instagram and YouTube without a traditional studio, distributor, or festival launch.
That momentum is now translating beyond the screen. Yang’s work has begun attracting industry attention, including representation and conversations with executives and production companies connected to Warner Bros., Searchlight, Amazon MGM, and other major players.
An AFI Conservatory directing graduate, Yang represents a new generation of filmmakers proving that a powerful cinematic voice doesn’t need a feature-length runtime—or traditional gatekeepers—to find an audience. His viral shorts have become both a calling card and proof of concept for a filmmaker increasingly positioned to make the jump into studio film and television.
